ANTIFRAUD APP
Privacy policy.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
In short
- The app sends nothing to the Internet. It doesn't even have permission to.
- Everything it stores stays only on your phone and deletes itself after 30 days.
- No accounts, no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
Who we are
InforAlvelos, Estrada Nacional de Alverca, R/C Loja, 6160-303 Oleiros.
For anything about this policy, write to us by email: antifraude@inforalvelos.net
What the app handles and where it stays
When a call comes in, the app assesses it on the phone itself and stores, only in the app's private storage:
- the phone number of the caller (or "hidden number");
- the time, how long the call rang and whether you answered it;
- the risk score and the reasons for the warning;
- your "I trust" and "It's fraud" marks on numbers;
- your settings.
There is no server of ours and no user account. We, InforAlvelos, never have access to this data.
Messages and links you check
If you share or paste an SMS, message or link on the "Check" screen, the text is analysed on the phone and is neither saved nor sent. It disappears when you close the screen.
Contacts (optional)
If you turn on "Recognise my contacts", the app looks at your contact list only to know whether a number is already there and, if so, not treat it as suspicious. Contacts are not copied, saved or sent. You can turn the option off whenever you like.
Permissions and what they are for
| Permission | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Call screening (Android role) | Receive the number of a call when it starts ringing, to assess it. |
| Phone state | Know whether the call was answered or ended unanswered, to measure the ringing. |
| Notifications | Show the "Don't call back" warning. |
| Contacts (optional) | Recognise numbers you already know. |
The app does not read SMS, does not use the Accessibility service and does not read your notifications from other apps.
Call blocking
By default the app only warns. It only rejects calls if you turn on "Block automatically" and, even then, only very high-risk ones.
Sharing with third parties
We don't share data with anyone, because we don't receive it. The app has no advertising and no third-party analytics tools.
Why the app may handle this data (legal basis)
The app works on your phone because you installed it and gave it the permissions. The data stays with you and we don't receive it. You can withdraw the permissions or delete the app whenever you like, and the app stops working.
Automatic scoring
The app calculates a risk score automatically, on your phone, to warn you. It is only a warning and does not make decisions for you. It only rejects calls if you turn on "Block automatically", and you can always correct the app with "I trust" or "It's fraud".
How long we keep data
The call history deletes itself after 30 days. You can delete it right away in Settings, "Delete all history now". If you uninstall the app, everything it stored disappears.
Your rights
Since the data is only on your phone, you are the one who controls it: you can see it in the History, correct marks, delete it and withdraw permissions at any time in Android's settings. For any question, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
Limits of the app
The app warns based on signs (for example, very short rings that repeat) and can be wrong. It cannot see whether a call-back fails, nor detect voices cloned by artificial intelligence. It only sees normal phone calls: those made through apps such as WhatsApp or Meet do not go through Android's filter, so the app does not warn about them. If in doubt, hang up and contact the organisation on the official number you already know.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here, with the date updated.
